Let's have a Server
I want to explain the merit of using VB+Server
It is a normal and simple use, only using one PC.(right picture) In this case, you will use only one file in your PC.
However, what should we do if two or more people want to handle a single file at the same time? For example, let’s consider the case where multiple employees need to access customer information.
That is the reason why we need to use the server.
When using Windows Server, a certain level of server knowledge is required, which involves effort, time, and costs. However, this is definitely knowledge that one should acquire.
Additionally, there are various potential situations to consider. For example:
◆ We will allow A to view customer information, but not B.
◆ C will be designated as the database manager and allowed to modify customer information. However, no one other than the president will be permitted to do so.
◆ Part-time employees will be prohibited from logging in altogether.
◆ To manage employee working hours, access to the database will be restricted after xx:xx time.
There are many other scenarios that could be anticipated.
Our company also handles server setup jobs, so if you are interested, please contact us.
